UPDATE - October 2022

StAR is currently incredibly busy helping to support Asylum Seekers in three hotels Hertfordshire with ESOL lessons and other necessary support.  We have put a team together to assess the needs of over 350 people and to provide English language lessons, clothing, recreational activities etc.

In other news, we have continued to support refugees abroad, with aid being sent to Lebanon, Pakistan and Ukraine, and we continue to support our colleagues in France too.

While we hugely appreciate the generous donations of clothing etc we also need monetary donations in order that we can get this aid distributed so why not set up a standing order to us - you can see how to do that here

We do have the happiest volunteers!

After many years of leading our sorting team and helping to provide clothing to refugees in transit across Europe and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire, our lovely trustee Marian has decided to take a long and well deserved holiday!

The lovely Liz L will manage this function until Marian returns but we are going to need additional volunteers for the sorting team.

The team works each Thursday afternoon at one of our St Albans based garages and we would also like to set up another sorting team too!
